The information below notes some of the important dates, deadlines, and reminders for Exams Officers this month. Full Key Dates documents for various levels of qualification can be found within our Key Dates & Timetables page.

April 2026

June 2026 Series Internal Assessment

For many qualifications, our Internal Assessment Mark Input System (IAMIS) went live on Portal from 10th March 2026, with other qualifications following on 1st April 2026, allowing centres to submit their marks for internally assessed units/components.

IAMIS can be accessed on Portal from ‘Menu’ by clicking ‘Examinations & Assessments’, then ‘Internal Assessment Marks/Outcomes’.

Exam Requirements June 2026 Series

Our Exam Requirements June 2026 documents, which provide information on the materials and resources required for each timetabled examination in the series, are located within our Examinations page.

June 2026 Series Examination Despatches

Our Despatch team will begin providing centres with question papers and answer books for the June 2026 series in April, which will continue in May and June. There will also be separate despatches containing registers and examiner labels.

Please remember that confidential materials (including answer books) must be stored securely at all times, in accordance with JCQ requirements.

January 2026 Series Deadlines

The final deadline for Post-Results Services for the January 2026 examination series, including clerical checks and reviews of marking, is 9th April 2026. Full details of our Post-Results Services can be found within our Results, Grade Boundaries and PRS page.
9th April 2026 is also the deadline for ‘retrospective’ applications for Special Consideration for the January 2026 series.
The final deadline for the submission of late Cash-In codes for unitised qualifications is 13th April 2026.

Applications for the services above can be made by accessing the relevant areas of Portal.

Welsh Baccalaureate June 2026 Series

For National/Foundation candidates and resitting Advanced level candidates, 30th April 2026 is the deadline for submission of the Welsh Baccalaureate AOI1 Form. This form can be found on our Welsh Baccalaureate page and completed forms should be returned to wbq@wjec.co.uk.
