Shaping qualifications with industry partnerships

We've worked closely with forward-thinking industry partners to develop qualifications that prepare young people for the opportunities of tomorrow.

Their real-world expertise has helped shape our new vocational qualifications, ensuring they reflect the skills, knowledge and career pathways that will drive Wales' future. Together, we've created qualifications that respond to the needs of employers while inspiring and equipping learners to success in a changing world.

Our partners:

"We are delighted that the Curriculum for Wales places a strong emphasis on careers and work-related experiences for all learners aged 3–16. The Skills for Work qualifications, as part of the wider Skills Suite, are a valuable addition in supporting 14–16-year-olds to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for their future careers and working lives.

We were pleased to be involved from the outset, contributing ideas and potential content for several of the Skills for Work units, and are delighted that these have been incorporated into the qualifications.

These qualifications will support learners’ successful transition from education into the world of work by providing authentic, real-world insight into careers and employability skills. They offer meaningful learning experiences that help young people develop practical employability skills, career awareness and a stronger understanding of future employment opportunities."
