About Entry Level / Level 1 Foundation Qualification in Digital Technology
This qualification helps learners understand how digital technology is used in everyday life.
It teaches them how to stay safe online, solve problems using data and digital tools, and create digital content.
Learners will develop practical digital skills and confidence in using technology, preparing them for further learning, everyday tasks and future careers.
Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is for learners between 14-16 who are working at Entry Level/Level 1 who are interested in using digital technology in everyday life, at school, or in the workplace.
It will build on the conceptual understanding learners have developed through their Curriculum for Wales learning from ages 3-14. It also relates to and supports the four purposes and the principles of progression.
The qualification will provide a broad basis for progression onto GCSE Digital Technology by focussing on similar skills and understanding.
