Guided Learning Hours
All full course GCSE qualifications are designed to be taken by 16 year-old learners following a two-year programme of study comprised of 120 guided learning hours (GLH). This is reflected in the breadth, depth and challenge of the content that learners will be assessed against. The GLH value for regulated qualifications is indicated on QiW, the online database of qualifications hosted by Qualifications Wales. This GLH value indicates the recommended amount of teaching time required to deliver the necessary learning to achieve the qualification.
