Work Related Foundation Qualifications

Our Work-Related Foundation Qualifications (WRFQs) are designed to inspire and support learners in Wales, offering a two-year programme that is accessible, engaging, and rooted in real-world learning.  

   

With a strong emphasis on practical activities and hands-on experience, these qualifications help learners build confidence, develop essential skills, and enjoy meaningful success.

Why choose WJEC for national 14-16 qualifications?

  • WJEC has over 75 years' experience developing qualifications specifically for Wales. We work with over 300 Welsh schools each year, providing accurate, fair and accessible assessment to almost 100,000 learners annually.
  • We collaborated with teachers and education stakeholders to co-create our Made-For-Wales Wave 1 and Wave 2 qualifications, and will be taking everything we've learned from this process to ensure our qualifications are the perfect fit for teachers and learners alike.
