WJEC welcomes NEA announcement
We welcome Qualifications Wales announcement that Non-Examination Assessment (NEA) will go ahead as planned in 2021.
The decision to proceed as scheduled with NEA assessments, provides much needed clarity for learners and teachers and will help them as they prepare for the months ahead. It’s also important to recognise the importance of maintaining as much stability and familiarity as possible in assessments during these challenging times.
We believe this is a vital step towards ensuring the successful delivery of a fair and balanced approach to assessment for all our learners – past, present and future.
We would like to reassure our schools and colleges that we will continue to work closely with the Design and Delivery Advisory Group and Qualifications Wales to finalise arrangements for the delivery of the summer 2021 qualifications.
