About the event

The National Eisteddfod is Wales's largest annual celebration of the Welsh language, literature, music and culture. Marking 850 years since the first Eisteddfod, this year's festival takes place in the area known as y Garreg Las, named after its famous local bluestone. Around 150,000 visitors are expected to attend throughout the week to celebrate Wales's rich heritage, creativity and culture.
