Qualifications Wales and WJEC to offer a programme of webinars for GCSE Built Environment teachers

Qualifications Wales is pleased to have approved the new WJEC GCSE Built Environment qualification, which will be available for delivery from September 2021.

The qualification has been designed to introduce learners to, and develop their understanding of, the built environment, including the trades and roles within it, the tools, technologies and materials used in its
construction and maintenance, and the processes involved in its design.

To support centres in preparing to deliver this qualification, Qualifications Wales will soon be sharing details of a programme of webinars for practitioners to offer industry perspectives on the content of the new GCSE qualification supported by WJEC. These webinars will be starting in January 2021 and will run on a monthly basis through to the summer of 2021. We will share more details, through our website and directly with
centres in early December.
