Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at WJEC

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at WJEC

Message from our Chief Executive, Ian Morgan

As we come to the end of a particularly challenging year for all of us working in the education sector, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your teams for your ongoing professionalism, dedication and support. It’s particularly important that we recognise the hard work of teachers, lecturers, and the many school and college support workers, who worked with us to ensure that students across Wales were awarded with qualification grades in the summer - enabling them to progress to further education or to embark on their careers.

Like you, I very much hope that 2022 turns out to be closer to a normal year. Qualifications Wales has already confirmed that it is their intention for external assessments to take place, though with some adaptations, and our teams will be on hand to support you every step of the way. If your teams have any queries regarding our specification adaptations or assessments, we encourage them to contact our subject experts, who can provide clear and reliable advice and guidance.

In addition to the subject specialist advice that we offer, our Digital Resources Team continues to produce innovative digital resources to aid teaching and learning, which includes a comprehensive package of Blended Learning lessons, Knowledge Organisers, and Exam Walk Throughs, these are all available for free from our Digital Resources Website

For now, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Thank you once again for your continued support and cooperation, we look forward to continuing working with you in 2022.

Yours sincerely

Ian
