Online and face-to-face course
Our courses feature a mixture of online and face-to-face training, and will be delivered over the next 18 months:
|Asynchronous material highlighting the key features of each new qualification and how they will be assessed.
|Asynchronous material introducing each newly published specification followed by live, online Q&A events.
|Asynchronous presentations to support understanding of assessment of each new qualification.
|Pan Wales Roadshows: “Preparing to Teach” face-to-face events.
Pan Wales Roadshows
We are working with Welsh Government, Local Authorities, Regional Consortia and CYDAG (Welsh medium) to facilitate teachers’ access to our “Preparing to Teach” series of face-to-face events. Head teachers across Wales, in partnership with their Local Authority, have agreed to INSET closure days so that as many subject teachers as possible may attend these events. This unprecedented Pan Wales plan will see schools within clusters of Local Authorities and CYDAG affiliated schools close for INSET delivered by WJEC on a designated day between February and April 2025. Working together, we will deliver 15 Professional Learning events at school venues on each INSET closure day across Wales.
Your cluster INSET dates will be circulated shortly and details of how you/your school can register will follow in summer term.
