Leading training and employability organisation partners with WJEC to promote new routes to employment
We are delighted to announce an expanded partnership with PeoplePlus, which will see the organisation delivering WJEC's Pathways to Employment qualifications to learners across the UK.
As part of this partnership, our Preparing for Employment qualification will form a key element of the learner journey within the JGW+ Learners helping eligible participants develop the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to secure sustainable employment.
In addition, PeoplePlus is extending the delivery of our qualifications into prison education through an employer-sponsored pilot programme. The initiative aims to support learners with employability skills, provide interview opportunities and, where appropriate, help them progress into employment following their release.
Commenting on the partnership, Steffan Edwards, WJEC Executive Director for Commercial Development, said:
| "We are delighted to expand our partnership with PeoplePlus and support even more learners in developing the skills needed to succeed in the workplace. Our Pathways to Employment qualifications are specifically designed to develop the essential employability skills needed to enter and sustain employment, while enabling learners to explore different sectors and make informed career choices. Through this partnership, learners will have greater opportunities to build their confidence, enhance their employment prospects and take positive steps towards achieving their career ambitions." |
Kelly Reynolds, Director Employment & Skills Wales for PeoplePlus, responded to the partnership:
| “We are pleased to be delivering WJEC’s Pathways to Employment qualifications, as they reflect so closely the purpose at the heart of PeoplePlus Cymru: changing lives, one individual at a time. We believe that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Through this programme, we are proud to support individuals to build their skills, confidence and aspirations, helping them take meaningful steps towards employment and a brighter future. By working with WJEC, individuals, employers and our communities, we are creating social value and helping to build a society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.” |
