Free access to marked scripts
Would you like to enhance your understanding on how your learners’ exams are marked? Discover how our mark schemes are applied? Learn from examiner comments and gain insight into your learners’ performance?
To support your teaching and to develop your understanding of assessments, we are pleased to announce that we will be offering free access to all marked scripts from August.*
Schools and colleges who deliver our qualifications will now be able to access candidates’ marked scripts from Results Day via our Secure Website. These will be available for all external assessments for Summer 2023, including all GCSEs, AS, A level and Vocational Qualifications.
Each script will be available as a PDF and will include the marks and any comments made by our trained examiners to help you review the performance of your learners. These can also be useful classroom aids, to show current learners strengths and common pitfalls that they should consider in future assessments.

How can I access the free marked examination scripts?
Marked scripts will be available via our Secure Website on Results Day. To access, simply log in, select the ‘Results’ tab, and from the drop-down menu select ‘View Script Access’. From here, you can filter by subject and download the relevant marked script.
I am a teacher/lecturer, but don’t have access to the Secure Website?
If you have entries with us, please contact your Exams Officer, who can provide you with login details for our Secure Website.
For which examination series will the free marked scripts be available?
We will begin to offer this service for the Summer 2023 series, and will then be available for all future assessments.
Which subjects are available?
Marked scripts are available for all subjects, with marked external examinations, this includes all GCSE, AS, A level and Vocational qualifications. Please note, this does not include any internal assessments.
When will the marked scripts be available?
Marked scripts will be available via our Secure Website from Results Day.
Will I need to apply for a Post Results Service e.g. Appeal to access free marked scripts?
No, access to marked scripts is a free service that we offer. This service is separate to our Post Results Services. Further information on these services are available from the Post-Results Services page.
Do I need my learner’s permission to access their marked scripts?
Yes, you must obtain the candidate’s written consent prior to accessing their script(s). This includes accessing scripts to support reviews of marking and/or to support teaching and learning.
