Candidates receive their 2026 GCSE, Level 1 / 2 and Welsh Baccalaureate results
Students across Wales will receive their GCSE, Level 1 / 2 and National/Foundation Welsh Baccalaureate qualification results today.

National/Foundation Welsh Baccalaureate

98.2% of students achieved the National/Foundation Skills Challenge Certificate

93.0% of candidates passed the National/Foundation Welsh Baccalaureate

Ian Morgan, Chief Executive, WJEC commented: "I would like to congratulate all GCSE and vocational learners receiving their results today. These achievements reflect the hard work, determination, and resilience they have shown throughout their studies, and we wish them every success as they take their next steps, whether that’s further education, training, apprenticeships, or employment. |
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the teachers, tutors, exams officers, and wider support staff in schools and colleges across the country for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment throughout this year’s exam series. Finally, I want to recognise the invaluable support of parents and carers, whose encouragement and guidance have helped learners reach this important milestone."
