Adaptations to Assessment of our vocational and other general qualifications in Summer 2021

Vocational Qualifications update: Adaptations for Level 1/2 and Level 3 now available

We are aware that many of you are awaiting information on Adaptations to the assessment of our vocational and other general qualifications for Summer 2021.

We are working closely with the qualification regulators, other awarding organisations and sector stakeholders to finalise our Adaptations as soon as possible. Ofqual are currently consulting on the parameters and requirements for Adaptations to Vocational and Technical Qualifications (VTQs) in summer 2021. This consultation is due to close on 20^th September and we urge all our centres and stakeholders to respond to this consultation. The outcomes of the consultation are due to be published in early October.

We have recently published on our secure website details of the Adaptations we intend to make to the assessment of our suite of Entry Level Certificates in Summer 2021. These Adaptations have been published subject to the outcomes of the Ofqual consultation and we have invited further comments from teachers and centre staff to ensure that they are appropriate to assist in mitigating the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We will be publishing further details on the proposed Adaptations to our Level 1/2 Vocational Awards, Level 3 Applied Certificate and Diplomas and Level 1 and 2 Other General Qualifications next week. These details will be published to centres through the secure website and centres will be notified through our circular process, subject bulletins and social media.
