7th Moving Image Awards Shortlist Announced

We are delighted to announce the shortlisted finalists of the seventh annual WJEC Eduqas Moving Image Awards.

The competition recognises the inspiring levels of student achievement within the production realms of Film and Media Studies and has gained support from leading figures within the film industry. The award ceremony celebrates the best work created by students aged 14-19 at schools and colleges from around the UK. This year, we have welcomed entries from candidates who completed work but were unable to submit NEA for assessment in 2020 due to their cancellation.

The full shortlist is now available to view online.

Commenting on the shortlist, Rebecca Ellis, Film Studies Subject Officer at WJEC Eduqas, said:

"It has been a delight to have viewed so many amazing production entries from student's whose work never reached us last Summer due to Covid. The technical achievements and creative talents of these candidates has been outstanding this year.  I am very much looking forward to celebrating this work with the students and teachers at our virtual ceremony in February.”

For each category, the work of the shortlisted finalists will be revealed at our first ever virtual Moving Image Awards ceremony! The 5 category winners will be announced on Monday 15th February between 5.30 pm and 7.00 pm and will feature some very special industry guests.
