WJEC Qualifications In England
Qualification Reform in England
WJEC is committed to working with our 3,500 centres in England; our provision is, and will continue to be, fully aligned with government and regulatory requirements for England.
A number of GCSE and GCE subjects are being developed for teaching from September 2015, with further subjects to be reformed for 2016 and 2017. Details of these developments may be found on Ofqual's website.
The reformed qualifications in England will be provided via Eduqas, the new brand from WJEC.
Eduqas is dedicated specifically to delivering qualifications for Ofqual’s reformed subjects for first teaching from 2015, 2016 and 2017. Existing specifications being taught in schools and colleges in England will continue to be branded WJEC.
Draft specifications and sample assessment materials for all reformed GCSE, AS and A levels have been submitted to Ofqual for accreditation, many of which have already been fully accredited. All specifications and Sample assessment materials are available on the Eduqas website.
Our dedicated Educational Resources team are working in close consultation with teachers and sector leads to produce a range of exciting, diverse and engaging material to support these new specifications.
Free digital resources are available to support teachers. Take a look at the range of existing resources we have produced.
