Certificates and Confirmation of Qualification Results

Normal procedures for issuing certificates

Exam certificates are normally issued to centres (schools/colleges) within 10 weeks of the publication of results. Each centre will determine the most appropriate method of distributing the certificates to the candidates. If you have not received your examination certificate, please contact the centre where you sat the examination in the first instance. But please note that centres are only obliged to retain unclaimed certificates for one year from the date of issue.

If you would like to replace a certificate because it has been lost, stolen, damaged or not collected, you can apply for either:

A Certifying Statement of Results:

This is not a copy of the original certificate, but an alternative certificate. WJEC certificate stationery is used which has an official WJEC hologram proving its authenticity and is universally accepted.

A Letter of Confirmation:

Before you apply, please check with the organisation requesting confirmation of your qualifications that a letter of confirmation will be accepted by them.
