We have developed a reformed GCE AS/A level Physical Education specification, approved by Qualifications Wales, for teaching from 2016. These qualifications meet the regulatory requirements in Wales.

New Resources Available
The interactive resource for the new WJEC GCE 2016 Specification is currently with our development team.
In the meantime we have made the 'skeleton' of this interactive resource available to centres on our related documents page. This resource is titled, 'NEW: AS PE Resource for 2016 Spec' contains numerous word documents and includes all of the information that will be in the interactive resource, this way centres are not missing out on the information available.
In addition to this resource, Welsh Government have designed a resource to support practitioners with the delivery of the new biomechanical principles and movement analysis content in the new WJEC physical education specifications, from GCSE through to GCE AS/A level. You can find this resource via the link below.
Additional Activities Added to Specification
WJEC are pleased to announce that the following activities have been approved by Qualifications Wales, and are to be added to the list of approved activities in the specification for GCE Physical Education 2016 (Wales):

- Ice hockey
- Gaelic Football
