Continuing Professional Development
The internal assessment standardising continuing professional development programme for the 2013-2014 academic year is now open for bookings. These events are free of charge, but please note that attendance is limited to one member of staff per centre for each subject. Additional members of staff may attend on payment of a £30 per head administration fee.
- Monday, 23 September - Llanelli
- Tuesday, 1 October - Gwynedd
Centres will choose their own samples by following the sampling formula identified in the Entry Pathways Specification (page 14).
Samples of work should be submitted to:
245 Western Avenue
by 12 December (January Series) / 4 May (June Series).
This qualification is designed to complement Essential Skills Wales. There are five units worth three credits each available, and candidates will be able to achieve an Award or Certificate at Entry 2 or Entry 3. It is recommended that Entry 1 candidates follow the Essential Skills Wales - Communication course.
The units are listed below:
- Oral Discussion of Experiences and Feelings
- Translanguaging to Welsh
- Oral Response to a Welsh Television Programme or Film
- Responding to Welsh Literary Reading Material (Prose)
- Story Writing
These units are internally assessed and externally moderated.
