Geography B GCSE
WJEC GCSE Geography Specification B has evolved from the popular Avery Hill specification and shares the same ethos of student-centred geographical enquiry. The specification focuses the minds of students on the geographical issues that are relevant to their generation. Students have the opportunity to consider stakeholder views on a variety of geographical issues and, in doing so, become knowledgeable, yet critical, geographers.
WJEC are delighted to have sponsored the FSC lecture on the future assessment of fieldwork at the annual GA conference in Guildford. Please find the starter activity and presentation (which includes detailed notes).
This year’s annual Geographical Association Conference and Exhibition was held at the University of Surrey.
More than 700 delegates from around the world attended this event, to share the latest ideas, resources and support in primary and secondary geography education.
The deadline for the submission of completed controlled assessment samples for moderation is Friday 28th March 2014. As in 2013, the relevant covering mark sheet and guidance notes (CAB2) can be downloaded and completed from the Internal Assessment / coursework forms page. Please see the Controlled Assessment guidance and timeline document for a step-by-step guide to the process.
