Geography GCSE
WJEC offers two specifications in Geography at GCSE level:
- GCSE Specification A (Mainstream)
- GCSE Specification B (Avery Hill)
This is currently jointly administered with OCR although the new Specification B (for first teaching from September 2009 and for first examination in 2011) will be solely administered by WJEC.
These qualifications are popular because of the clarity of the specifications, the quality of INSET Professional Development and teacher support and guidance, the reliability of examining and the approachability of WJEC staff.

Continuing Professional Development
