Business Studies GCSE
The WJEC GCSE Business Studies course is popular with centres in both Wales and England.
The present scheme is assessed through an external examination and through coursework. External assessment accounts for 75% of the marks and coursework for 25% of the marks. There are two tiers Higher A*-D and Foundation C-G.
The new accredited Specification starting September 2009 for first examination in 2011 is available under "Documents" Specification 2011. The accredited Specimen Assessment Material is available under Show all documents.

A wide range of resources are available free of charge via NGfL-Cymru. Past papers and marking schemes are available free of charge to teaching staff on our Secure Website. Further resources are available through our online Shop.
There is a regular programme of INSET Professional Development every autumn delivered by senior examiners and teachers of the courses. This provision may be provided every other year once a specification has become established.
