GCE A/AS
WJEC currently offers over 30 GCE specifications. Apart from Mathematics, which operates to a later timetable, these were all revised for courses starting in September 2008 – largely to a 4 unit structure but with some (e.g. Sciences, Welsh, Music) remaining as a 6 unit specifications.
Applied GCE's
A new suite of single and double award Applied GCEs is also now on offer. Apart from Science these are in 2/4/8 units rather than 3/6/12.

Copies of the draft revised specifications and of all current specifications and related documentation, together with subject officer contact points can be accessed from the full subject list.
WJEC provisions
Features of WJEC provision are:
- reader-friendly specifications and assessment materials,
- effective support for teachers (e.g. through annual INSET meetings/teacher guidance notes),
- provision of student revision guides or text books for many subjects,
- easy access to subject officers and administrative staff.
