WJEC provides, and will continue to provide, GCE and GCSE Media Studies qualifications which meet the needs of teachers and the requirements of regulators in both England and Wales.

NEW: MS1 EXAMINATION, 13 MAY 2013 (AM) – RESOURCE MATERIAL FORMAT

The format of the resource material for this examination will be audio-visual.

CPD Arrangements for 2013-2014

Dates for 2013-2014 CPD's, which will be based on the internally assessed units, MS2 and MS3, will be published shortly. Feedback on the examination units, MS1 and MS4, will be provided online. Further details to follow.

Continuing Professional Development

CPD's for teachers and centres new to WJEC AS/A Level Media specification will be held on Friday 7 June 2013 in London.

Exemplar material for MS2 and MS3 internally assessed work, together with MS1& MS4 examination scripts, is downloadable form the secure website [Resources PDF Download > GCE Media Studies - Exemplar Material]

Electronic versions of the material used in the Autum 2012 CPD's is also on the secure website [Resources PDF Download > CPD Materials]

Media, Film and Communications at University - Student Leaflet

The Media, Communication and Cultural Studies Association (MeCCSA), an HE association representing media, film and communication interests, has recently produced a leaflet which sets out the options for students wishing to continau studying Media, Film and Communications at University.
