Preparation for Working Life GCSE (Short course)
The specification aims to support the Careers and the World of Work framework for 11 to 19 year-olds in Wales by offering recognition of achievement by students in this area of the curriculum through a GCSE qualification.
This GCSE Short Course is currently accredited for use in Wales only.

Controlled Assessment
Teachers are advised to read pages 14 to 18 of the specification for detailed advice relating to the administration of the Unit 2 controlled assessment.
The controlled assessment tasks are printed on pages 9 and 10 of the specification. The controlled assessment criteria are printed on pages 19 to 22 of the specification.
Continuing Professional Development
Courses led by the chief examiner addressing key issues in the new specification will be held during the Autumn term.
