GCSE Biology is one of WJEC’s new Science specifications, which aims to help teachers find a clear and user-friendly way through the requirements of the GCSE Science criteria.

Key Documents

  • Please note that a circular regarding the GCSE Science Coursework is being sent out to centres and is also available by clicking on the following link. Circular 169.
  • The GCSE Science Moderator details for 2009 have now been despatched to centres. For further information, please see your Examinations Officer.
  • Submission dates can be found here..
  • All internal assessment practical tests for 2009-2010 are available from the Secure Website in English and Welsh.
  • Rules for 'cashing-in' GCSE Sciences have changed. Further information is available here.

Resources

  • A wide range of resources are available free of charge via NGfL-Cymru.
  • Past papers and marking schemes are available free of charge to teaching staff on our Secure Website.
  • Further resources are available through our online shop. There is a textbook accompanying WJEC’s Science specifications published by Hodder Murray.
