National Welsh and Welsh Medium Continuing Professional Development programme
The Welsh and Welsh-medium National INSET Programmes are administered by WJEC on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government and the local authorities of Wales.
The Welsh National Continuing Professional Development Programmes
In consultation with representatives of every local authority in Wales and of the Welsh Assembly Government, the Programme:
- prepares training packages
- provides training events on aspects of teaching Welsh and Welsh Second Language
- maintains a register of assistant trainers who are available to provide training on every aspect of teaching Welsh and Welsh Second Language
- organises five national conferences annually.
The Welsh Medium National Continuing Professional Development Programmes
The Welsh-medium National Continuing Professional Development Programme:
- maintains a register of assistant trainers who are available to provide training through the medium of Welsh on various aspects of all National Curriculum subjects.
