Examination certificates are normally issued to centres within 10 weeks of the publication of results. Each centre will determine the most appropriate method of distributing the certificates to the candidates. If you have not received your examination certificate, contact the centre where you sat the examination in the first instance. But please note that centres are only obliged to retain unclaimed certificates for one year from the date of issue.
Confirmation of Qualifications
For confirmation of qualifications, candidates can apply for either:
- A statement of results called a "Certifying Statement of Results"
- A "Letter of Confirmation"
NB: Please check with the organisation requesting confirmation of qualifications that the ‘Letter of Confirmation’ will be accepted by them, before you apply.
Confirmation of qualifications cannot be applied for by a third party on behalf of the candidate.
Centres should contact the relevant section (ie GCSE/GCE A level etc.) direct, for advice regarding procedures relating to certificates issued within the last twelve months.
Organisations who need confirmation of an applicant’s qualifications must ask the applicant to complete the application form.
