WJEC runs a programme of INSET professional development to support teachers in delivering courses of study leading up to WJEC examinations.  The training courses are normally facilitated by WJEC's specialist subject officers and led by Chief or Principal Examiners.

Courses are held throughout Wales and England, in comfortable hotels or conference centres.  Some are designed to introduce new specifications and others for sharing good practice or exchanging feedback on examinations.  There is an opportunity to network, as well as receive new educational materials and ideas.

The new professional development programme for September 2009 - September 2010 is now available, including a range of free courses to introduce WJEC's new core GCSE specifications (English, Mathematics, ICT, Welsh 1st & Welsh 2nd) for teaching from 2010 onwards.  Book now to avoid disappointment!!
