WJEC presents various sets of statistics that map to the qualifications that WJEC offers.

WJEC examination results

Provisional results

Each summer on the same day that candidates are notified of their results WJEC publishes provisional results for each of its subject specifications, in line with other awarding bodies.

Final results

Later in the year a revised set of statistics is produced to reflect changes resulting from any appeals, declines and late cash-ins. A similar process occurs for the winter series of examinations.

Autumn exams

WJEC has a limited number of GCSE examinations which are sat in the late autumn of each year and tables showing the final outcomes for these examinations are published early the following year.

Statistical notes

The statistics for individual subjects relate to all candidates entered for WJEC examinations (not just to those from Welsh centres) who were issued with a grade or an unclassified result. Candidates who entered for a WJEC examination but were absent from all or part of it and consequently were not issued with a result are not included.

Comprehensive figures on a country-by-country basis are provided by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and can be obtained from the JCQ website.
