Find qualifications and resources

9 December 2011

WJEC is progressing its internal investigation of a range of issues which arise from the Daily Telegraph’s allegations relating to a GCSE History course which took place in early November.

We have been reviewing the appropriateness of the wording used and the information conveyed by the examiners leading the course. We also wanted to clarify whether or not the information provided is available to all teachers, whether they attended the course or not, through our authorised documentation, including through our website.

In order that we can complete the investigation fairly and accurately, we have asked the Daily Telegraph to provide us with a copy of all the unedited film footage recorded at the course. We understand that this will be made available, but we have not yet received it.

We shall provide a further update once we have been able to conclude the investigation.
