Booking closes five working days before the event so please sign up early to secure a place.

The 2013 - 2014 programme of internal assessment standardising CPD meetings is due to be published on the website in June.  Examination review CPD will be provided online in many subjects from September 2013.

CPD Training Courses

WJEC runs a comprehensive programme of continuing professional development courses to support teachers in delivering courses of study leading up to WJEC examinations.  The training courses are normally facilitated by WJEC's specialist subject officers and Senior Examiners. 

Courses are held throughout Wales and England.  These courses are designed to introduce new specifications, share good practice and exchange feedback on examinations.  There is an opportunity to network, as well as to receive new educational materials and ideas.

Important changes to course bookings

All bookings will now be online via our website where a regularly accessed email address is required as all correspondence, including confirmation letters, sent approx. 2 weeks before the course, will be via email.  (LEA or unregistered centres please contact the office inset@wjec.co.uk).  Applicants should ensure that they have confirmation before attending a course. Delegates who arrive at a venue without a confirmation may not be accommodated on the day. Please book early to guarantee a place.

Closing dates for applications

Bookings for all courses will close five working days before the event.  

Course Charges

Charges for the academic year September 2012 - July 2013 are as follows:

  • Full day courses: £130 or £110 if applications are received in the term prior to the course.
  • Half day courses: £65 or £55 if applications are received in the term prior to the course.
  • Courses introducing new specifications or procedures are free of charge.

An invoice will be generated as soon as a booking is received so please make sure you have the authority to do so.  Once you have made your booking your centre is responsible fpr making the appropriate payment.  If an invoice is required there is provision on the application form for a purchase order number if applicable.

No provisional bookings will be taken.

CPD Materials

Materials given out at the course/s will be available on the secure website 24 hours after the last event, per subject, has taken place.

Change of Name

It is important to contact inset@wjec.co.uk to inform any change of name as soon as possible.

Cancellation Policy

Places may be cancelled up to five working days before each event without charge by contacting inset@wjec.co.uk

In the event of non-attendance and without cancelling within five working days, the full fee, if applicable, will be charged.

Course cancellation/postponement by WJEC

We reserve the right to re-schedule or cancel an event but will give you as much notice as possible.

If we cancel an event we will credit delegate fees.
