This part of the website is for exam officers in schools, colleges and other institutions which enter candidates for WJEC examinations.

Preliminary Entries

Preliminary Entries for the June series for GCE, GCSE and Level 1 / 2 must be submitted online via WJEC's secure website. We have extended the deadline for submission of preliminary entries to 20 October.

Preliminary entries are an important source of information for WJEC, and are used to calculate the despatch of examination stationery, pre-release materials and early exam papers to centres. It is therefore imperative that they are submitted as accurately as possible and by the published deadline.

November Examinations

November examinations will take place between 1 – 14 November, and the deadline for submission of internal assessment is 5 November.

Information regarding the examinations is available in the November Examinations Requirements booklet, with additional information regarding resit rules and carry forward available in this document.

Malpractice and Whistleblowing

WJEC follows the JCQ processes on Malpractice as documented in the JCQ "Suspected Malpractice in Examinations and Assessments" guide.

Post Results Services and Appeals

Ofqual have recently published decisions on changes to regulations for post results services and appeals.

WJEC, working with the other JCQ awarding organisations, has updated its procedures to ensure that they reflect Ofqual’s decisions. Further information is available here.

Appeals

WJEC follows the JCQ processes on appeals as documented in the JCQ 'Guide to the awarding bodies' appeals processes'.

Our 'Appeals – A guide for centres' document outlines WJEC's processes for appeals concerning enquiries about results, malpractice, access arrangements, special consideration and other examination and assessment administrative decisions.

WJEC secure website

The WJECs secure website (available only to examination centres and for which separate registration is required) offers a range of additional materials, including past papers free of charge, and enables exam officers to conduct certain online transactions.
