Additional WJEC Vocational Qualifications included in School Performance Tables
WJEC is pleased to confirm that four new vocational qualifications have been approved for inclusion in School Performance Tables in England.
The WJEC Level 1/2 Award in Hospitality and Catering (Specification A) qualification has been approved as a Technical Award and will contribute to School Performance Tables for 14-16 year old learners.
The following have been approved in the Applied General Category for the first time and will contribute to School Performance Tables for 16-19 year old learners:
- WJEC Level 3 Certificate in Criminology
- WJEC Level 3 Diploma in Medical Science
- WJEC Level 3 Certificate in Medical Science
These four new qualifications are available for teaching from September 2016.
Sarah Harris, Assistant Director (Vocational Qualifications) said 'These new qualifications represent a further expansion of our suite of high quality vocational qualifications available to schools and colleges in England. These qualifications join established titles in areas including construction, engineering and creative subjects.'
